Running for Kip

Hey friends,

As many of you know it’s been years since I’ve competed in any athletic event. But I am dusting off my running shoes and trying desperately to get myself in shape for an event that has tremendous meaning to me. Many of you know that my brother is living with ALS. And I mean really living his life. Kip’s view is that we should all do everything we can to maximize our time on this earth. So I am honoring him by joining a fundraising effort, the Ragnar for Research relay around Crystal Mountain. This race is incredibly daunting in the shape I’m in, but if Kip could conquer his mountain of running a 5K with ALS, well, do I have any excuse at all? The relay is sponsored by the ALS Therapy Development Institute, a nonprofit biotech company with the goal of developing effective treatments to slow and stop this disease.
