Paul Kessler
Paul Kessler is playing in recognition of his wife Desiree and all younger people burdened by ALS. He has seen firsthand how difficult life can be for all involved but that meaningful and purpose-driven living is still very much attainable. It is so important that anyone who knows a person with ALS find ways to encourage and include them. PALS have such unique and valuable perspectives that benefit every aspect of life. Paul and Desiree share a daughter, Birdie, and having a mother with ALS is all she knows. Observing Birdie with Desiree is a great example of how influential and normal PALS are. This is as much about time as it is about money - find time.
Scott Wolinetz
Scott is playing for his cousin Marc Litt, father of The ALS 100 co-founder Alex Litt. Marc was always about family and education which is why it so important for Scott to spread the word, increase awareness about this life altering disease, and raise critical funds for care, support, and research. Marc was all about family and ALS TDI was founded by a family. After finding no treatment options when his brother, Stephen, was diagnosed with ALS at age 29, Jamie Heywood founded ALS TDI in the basement of his family's home. Since then, ALS TDI has grown to be the largest drug discovery institute in the world focused solely on finding treatments for ALS. Donations directly fuel research in the ALS TDI labs and bring us closer to effective treatments and a cure. It is an honor to play the 100 holes in Marc's memory and to continue to support this noble cause.
