Upon getting diagnosed with ALS in 1999, our dad was given a reality check with many questions and uncertainties left for all of us.

I’m just an ordinary man who received extraordinary news. For 30 years I rode the train to work, put in loong hours selling office supplies, raised two daughters with my wonderful wife, and enjoyed playing sports well in to my fifth decade. Friends called me “Mr. Reality.” I just took things as they came. Well, this year my ability to face reality was tested.

In order to honor his memory, we come together every summer around his birthday and try to raise money and bring awareness to this disease. While there is a long way to go, there are advance therapies that still need substantial funding. Please join us on Wednesday, July 24th, 2019 for our 12th annual fundraiser at The Boat Basin Cafe starting at 6:30pm with a two hour open bar.
