Story

Welcome to my team page!

This year I have the honor and privilege to partner my love for running marathons with my passion for helping a great cause.  So, I am reaching out to each of you for your support.

I will be running the 2019 NYC Marathon to support ALS TDI.  ALS, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis aka Lou Gehrig’s Disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that leads to paralysis, due to the death of motor neurons in the spinal cord and brain. There is currently no known cause, cure, or effective treatment.

As a healthcare professional, I work with ALS patients and their families who have been affected by this horrific disease, and it is both heartbreaking and challenging to not be able to do more...  now I can... and I am!

ALS TDI is a highly rated nonprofit research facility focused on a cure.  2018 saw their first human trial and that was funded by supporters like you.  ALS TDI is a team of scientists and researchers in a lab out of Boston that shares all of their knowledge for the greater good.

I am dedicating this 12th marathon to Stanley Rubenstein, the father of a family friend who lost his battle to ALS but remains the inspiration behind Team Follow Me.

ALS is not an incurable disease. It’s an underfunded one. Please support me in my journey to fight ALS by making a contribution today.
