Above is a picture of my dad and I. From the beginning, he has always been my best friend & number one fan.
My dad, Stan Bender, was diagnosed with ALS (also known Lou Gehrig's disease) in December of 2016.
As a husband, father of three, brother, uncle & friend to many, my dad has always put everyone before himself. Even now that he is sick, he still creates the least amount of worry, hassle & stress for those around him.
Always with a smile, my dad is fighting this disease one day at a time.
There will never be enough words to tell him how much he means to me, but there are some actions (one of them is eating an entire habanero pepper).
My siblings, Madyson (22), Tag (15) and I have decided to take part in the ALS Pepper Challenge to continue to raise support & awareness for our dad and this incurable disease.
Like the ice bucket challenge, nominate 3 others on the video to endure, instead of a bucket of ice water, a pepper as hot as they can handle. Encourage them to donate to the cause.
Remember, if you don’t eat a hot pepper, you donate $100, or whatever you can, to find a cure. But we think you should do both. It’s more fun that way.
You have 48 hours to take & post video eating a hot pepper, donate and then nominate 3 others.
No matter what, each nominee must nominate 3 others on the video to take the challenge!
