About the Campaign
Lisa Cross and the Cross / Bonahoom families invite you to the first annual Rock, Roll & Stroll. All funds benefit the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI), a nonprofit biotech dedicated to finding a cure for ALS. Please register and/or donate today!
Event Details:
The Rock, Roll & Stroll will take place on Sunday, November 3rd at Coyote Point Recreation Area. The 5K walk will begin at 1:00 p.m. In addition to the walk, there will be music, food, beer, t-shirt sales, and more. There will be no cost to participate in the walk or attend the event. Please register online today!
For those attending the event, please note the following:
- The County of San Mateo Parks Department charges a $6.00 vehicle entry fee. So, we highly recommend carpooling!
- It will get windy by the water so remember to bring a coat and/or dress in layers. You're welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs.
- Meet us at the Beach picnic area near the Duck pond.
- Check-in and walk-up registration will open around 12:30 p.m. Please arrive early so the walk can begin as close to 1:00 p.m. as possible.
Unable to attend? Please consider making a donation to support our efforts to end ALS!
Fundraising Incentive:
An online fundraising page will be created for you automatically after you register. Share your page on social media and/or send an email to your family, friends, coworkers, etc. with a link to your fundraising page. Top fundraisers will receive a prize and acknowledgment at the event!
Our Motivation:
Lisa Cross was diagnosed with ALS two years ago, after first noticing a change her in singing voice months before. Lisa sees every day as a gift and still dances, hikes, and “rocks” (runs / walks) by the bay at Coyote Point. This spring, Lisa learned her ALS is genetic. Her sister Carol was diagnosed with ALS in April.
The Rock, Roll & Stroll benefits ALS TDI, the world's foremost drug discovery lab focused solely on ALS. ALS TDI is working 24/7 to discover and develop effective treatments and cures for ALS. They are working for our family!
