Foggy Hills Coffee Company created the Roasting for Research program to fund ALS research at the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI). Their eighth roast is named Patty’s ALS Blend in honor of Patty Haberstroh.

Patty is a mother of four, a grandmother of seven, and a human services coordinator for the town of Westport, CT. Married to Charlie for 46 years, she has dedicated her life to helping others. 

In December 2017, shortly after being diagnosed with ALS, Patty and her family started the #ALSPepperChallenge. The viral social media campaign raised awareness and over $650,000 for research at ALS TDI. People all over the world took the challenge, including celebrities like Andy Cohen, Kelly Clarkson, Shaquille O’Neal, and Jimmy Kimmel, just to name a few. 

Having lived in Brazil for many years, Patty only ever drank Brazilian coffee. This roast features Brazilian beans, with a hint of spice in honor of the pepper challenge. 

Foggy Hills Coffee Co will donate 100% of proceeds from this roast to ALS TDI.
