In 2025, Timm Fenton, A Seattle father of three and lifelong cyclist, completed a remarkable solo, unsupported cross country bike ride to raise funds and awareness for ALS research, raising over $50,000! In 2027, he is taking on a new challenge. He has opened up this epic adventure to include other riders, this time riding from Vancouver BC, Canada to Rosarito Beach Mexico.  He and other riders will set off down the West Coast to hit their $100,000 goal. This incredible journey - Pedals vs. ALS- will benefit and support critical research at the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI).

Timm's mother, Jan Fenton, an accomplished art therapist, philanthropist, and mother of five, passed away from ALS in 2017 after a two-year battle. Having previously lost two of her children to Cystic Fibrosis, Jan faced her ALS diagnosis with grace and courage. 

“It has been a lifelong dream of mine to bicycle across the country for a worthwhile cause,” says Timm. “I will ride in my mother’s memory and to support those who suffer today from the debilitating illness of ALS.”
