In Loving Memory of
Kevin Runkle
This page is to honor Kevin’s memory – husband, dad, son, teacher, coach and friend to many. Kevin was a Navy veteran and diagnosed with ALS in 2015 (after over a year of ruling every other disease out). Studies have shown that those who have served in the military are more likely to develop ALS than the general population.
Although Kevin had ALS, ALS didn’t have him! As a Special Education Teacher, he taught his students there was nothing they couldn’t do if they put their minds and heart into it. Like everything Kevin did, he took on ALS with humor and grit.
Kevin was passionate about ALS research – participating in trials and traveling to Washington DC (even though he was in a wheelchair) to meet with members of Congress to advocate for ALS-related issues.
Please help keep Kevin’s fight going by donating to ALS research. ALS isn’t an incurable disease, it’s just underfunded.
With Gratitude,
Cheryl, T.J. and Ben
