Join us on Saturday, September 30, 2023 for the Acing ALS Pickleball Tournament! The day will be filled with doubles pickleball fun and hope for the ALS community.

The fight against ALS is very personal for my family, In 1984, my father-in-law was diagnosed with ALS. He had just retired and was looking forward to spending time doing his two favorite things: traveling and taking long bike rides. Those dreams were quickly replaced by the reality of this terminal disease – within two years, he died in a nursing home unable to walk or talk to his children and grandchildren. 

In June of 2005, my husband was also diagnosed with ALS. He fought this disease courageously by enrolling in five different research/drug studies, by riding his wheelchair advocating for ALS patients’ rights in the halls of Congress and by raising over $10,000.00 for research before
passing away at the age of 55.  You can see why our family continues to fight with passion and perseverance so one day there 

WILL BE a cure for this horrible disease.

About the 50 State Pickleball Challenge

Let’s Play, Dink, and End ALS! Our goal is to host at least one pickleball event in each of the 50 states throughout the 2023 Summer Season.

Whether you are paying tribute to a loved one who has ALS, or you simply love pickleball and want to support an important cause, we invite you to join to #EndALS!  

All event proceeds benefit the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI) in their mission to end ALS.
