Story

Join me to help find a cure for ALS!

On Sunday, November 2nd, I am proud to be running the TCS NYC Marathon for Team ALS TDI (The ALS Therapy Development Institute) for a very special reason: to honor my boyfriend’s father and my friend, Jim Hanson, who is currently battling ALS.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as ALS or “Lou Gehrig’s Disease”, is a terrible progressive disease that strips people of their ability to move and their independence - and there is no cure. No one should have to endure what Jim and his family are going through.

I’m running to raise awareness and do my part in helping to find a cure, and because it is a privilege to be able to do so. While I train for and run the marathon this year, I’ll be thinking of Jim and the countless others who are living with ALS. Please consider joining me in supporting this important cause - your donations allow ALS TDI to advance promising drugs and move towards finding a cure. ALS is not an incurable disease, it is an underfunded one.

Thank you for reading and for your support!
