Help Us End ALS!
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
I am honored to be running the TCS New York City Marathon again this year to raise money to End ALS! This will be my 2nd NYC Marathon. I am running in memory of my wife, Angela Stanley, and Alison's husband, Cory Burell. I am also running for the entire ALS community! ALS is a horrible disease that steals people away in the prime of their lives. It can affect anyone, of any age, gender, race, socioeconomic status, etc.
Angela was diagnosed with bulbar onset of ALS in 2018 at the age of 47. She was a wonderful wife, mom to three children, daughter, sister and friend to so many. We lost her in January of 2020, just before her 50th birthday.
Cory was diagnosed with a genetic form of ALS in 2016. He was a loving husband, father of two boys, son, brother, and friend to so many. Cory passed away at the young age of 35 in 2019.
Alison and I have met so many inspirational people that have been affected by ALS. It truly impacts the most extraordinary people. We are tired of losing so many friends to this ruthless disease. Please help the community by donating anything you can. The ALS Therapy Development Institute is a wonderful organization committed to eradicating ALS. Last year, we raised over $21,000! With your help, we hope to beat that this year!
We welcome you to keep track of Dave's training and fundraising progress by listening to our podcast. It's called "I Lost My Person" and you can listen to it on any of the podcasting platforms.
On Sunday, November 5, I'm proud to be running as part of Team ALS TDI for the upcoming TCS New York City Marathon. I will be running 26.2 miles on behalf of the The ALS Therapy Development Institute, an Official Charity Partner. Your donations fuel our continuous efforts to advance promising drugs and help END ALS. Please help me by making a donation. Thank You!
