On Sunday, November 3rd, I'm proud to be running as part of Team ALS TDI for the upcoming TCS New York City Marathon. I will be running 26.2 miles on behalf of the ALS Therapy Development Institute, an Official Charity Partner.

I am also running for the women of Her ALS Story - A group of women who were supposed to be establishing careers, finding partners and growing families, In turn were dealt a devastating terminal diagnosis — all before the age of 35.

These same women now have different dreams.  They dream to be independent and walk again. They dream to hold their husbands again and tuck their kids in at night. These women want nothing more than to have their powerful message heard on Capitol Hill - Not only to find a cure but to be able to get the help they need to navigate daily life. I want to run for the girls that have tripped and fallen but get right back up and continue fighting — 26.2 Miles is nothing compared to what these fearless and courageous girls face every single day. I am running for Alexandra, Leah, Gwen, Desi, Kate, Angelina, Sunny, Jamie, Sally, Asia, Jessi, Laura, Sam, Jayme, Leah W, Macey, Tina, Kaitlin, Blaine, Andrea, Sarah D, Kimberly, Brooke and each of their ALS Stories.
