After decades of battling unrelated medical issues, my beloved father, Jay Banerjee, was diagnosed with ALS in July 2016 at the age of 63. Even through his rapid decline, he maintained his quiet and often surprising sense of humor and his never-ending interest in politics. He lived a wonderful life, having achieved a wildly successful career while doting endless love on two now-grown children.

My birthday happens to coincide with the (virtual) Race 4 Research 5K Run on Sunday, April 26, 2020. Race 4 Research is an ALS Therapy Development Institute premier event, bringing together more than 200 participants from the community each year. The event raises money and awareness for the fight against ALS. In lieu of birthday wishes and gifts, I would so much appreciate your support this weekend!
